Kerry’s Sports Pub in Las Vegas was losing money every month and needed help! Bar Rescue came in with a whole new concept called the “Bacon Bar.” Part of the concept was a beautiful 12 tap iPourIt self-serve beer wall. When you watch the show they come in one day and yell at everyone, the next day they start working on the design, and 2 days later they are open with a new bar. When we were asked to do the show we thought the timeline was for TV and it was really a few weeks of work; boy were we wrong! The literally shut the bar down one night and 2 days later it opens up again with the cameras to show it off.
We worked with a great company, AC Beverage, to do the install. They fixed the inside of the walk-in cooler, added a nitrogenator, ran new trunk lines, installed two towers behind the beer wall and a whole lot more. This was all in less than 2 days with little to no sleep. At the same time Bar Rescue’s contractors built a wall for us and we installed all the self-serve equipment.
It is a closed set when they filmed the reaction of the owners and employees. However, they had our CTO, Brett Jones, on the set to make sure the system worked correctly. Bar Rescue had another company do a self-serve beer wall a year ago and it didn’t work and caused many hours of delays (and never worked.) So the whole crew was on pins and needles. Well, our system worked flawlessly and Jon Taffer poured a perfect pint on his first try. After the filming Mr. Taffer told Brett that the product was great and he was like family now.

You’ll notice that he thanks another company for the install. That company was a former reseller of ours that did the majority of the installation. Unfortunately we didn’t get any thanks on screen for our great technology, but it was still a lot of fun.
